Thank you for your interest in being a food vendor for the Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts. Please read the following before beginning your application process. Applications are open from May 2024 -July 31st, 2024.

Summary of Requirements:

All food vendors are invited to apply.  All applications are considered the week of August 1st to determine space available and varied menu offerings.

FH Concessionaire Members in good standing (already accepted and compliant in past show) will be invited to directly confirm their participation in a separate email.

Food vendors will be asked to provide a full menu, photo of menu (if available) and photo of presentation.

Only concessionaires approved and invited to attend will receive access to register for the festival to purchase booth space.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors must comply with all local ordinances, regulations and rules. Including but not limited to the following...

    • Town of Fountain Hills sales tax is currently 9.2% (updated March 2024)

 

 

  • Culinary artists intending to sell already prepared and packaged food must fill out the artist application as a culinary artist NOT concessionaire.
  • Vendors shall only sell the food items approved in the menu provided through your application. Festival evaluators will be reviewing displays to ensure compliance.
  • All storage must be neatly concealed within the space allotted.  The extra 4 foot from the tent shall be utilized towards the back of your tent for organized and hazard-free storage.  No storage may be on grass, sprinklers, sidewalks, curbs, landscaping or other Town property.  The space allotted is available for your use from the curb onto the street.  Please see Chamber staff at the Chamber Information booth if you have questions or need assistance identifying your space.
  • Leave No Trace - all artists/vendors/exhibitors are responsible for properly disposing of their trash, grease, or any elements from their booth, RV sites and parking areas.   Festival approved dumpsters and grease traps are identified on the vendor traffic map provided prior to the festival.
  • All tents must have weights on every side.  We recommend at least 50lbs.   In order to prepare for weather we recommend artwork and display items be secured as well at all times.  The Town of Fountain Hills may fine $200 for booths not weighted appropriately. 
  • Hawking is not permitted on the festival grounds as shown on the festival map.  This includes parking lots, streets and parks within the permitted festival area.  Hawking is , an act of aggressively promoting or selling goods or services, at our event outside of your permitted booth or vendor space. 
  • For our artists and vendors' success and everyone’s enjoyment of the Fountain Festival, Free Speech Zones are available outside of the festival perimeter for anyone who does not have booth space provided within the festival (this includes political candidates and clubs, voter registration volunteers, etc).  The free speech zones are identified by the Town of Fountain Hills on their website.  
  • It is the responsibility of the vendor to secure a TPT tax license in Arizona as well as a Fountain Hills Business License and Maricopa County Health Permit.  Information for obtaining these licenses are provided above. 
  • Rain or Shine Event - The Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts is a rain or shine event. All participants are encouraged to plan ahead for all weather.  
  • No refunds will be provided for any chamber or festival fees.  
  • We have a zero-tolerance policy towards rude, obscene, or abusive language, as well as any threatening behavior or contact directed towards fellow artists, vendors, exhibitors, staff, board members, security personnel, or the general public. Any words or actions deemed unbecoming will result in immediate removal or potential future banning from participation, as determined by the Chamber board and staff.
  • ICE - Ice will be sold in 20 Lb. bags by our local vendor.  Please remember to have one person assigned per shift to sign for your ice. Be ready to accept the ice one-hour before the show opens each day. WE HAVE ONLY ONE ICE VENDOR – ALL CONCESSIONAIRES MUST BUY FROM THIS VENDOR! THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS – Andrew (480) 593-9998
  • COCA-COLA  ALL DRINKS SOLD AT THE FESTIVAL MUST BE BOUGHT FROM OUR COCA-COLA REP. To order products to sell from your booth you will receive a Coca-Cola packet prior to festival to begin your order and plan for delivery at the festival.
  • HEALTH DEPARTMENT – It is mandatory for any person working in your booth during the show who is handling food to have a Food Handler’s Card. YOU MUST BE READY FOR INSPECTION BY 8 A.M. ON FRIDAY. The Health Department will not wait- they have all the concessions to inspect by 10:00 A.M. All food must be heated or cooled down to specifications.
  • WATER - Adequate cooking, cleaning and handwashing water must be supplied by each concession. Please do not empty water containers into the street. The water runs downhill wherever your location and into artist booths, so let’s try to respect our neighbor’s. ****DO NOT DUMP WASTE WATER IN THE GRASS OR DIRT. THERE ARE CONTAINERS PROVIDED FOR YOUR WASTE WATER NEAR THE SAGUARO AND VERDE RIVER FOOD COURT AREA. **** map will be provided before festival.
  • GREASE - Please do not put any grease into the trash cans or leave it on the curb.  Grease disposal is the responbility of each individual concessionaire.  There are containers for grease on Saguaro and Verde River.  PLEASE USE THEM – NO EXCEPTIONS!  You will receive a map as festival approaches.
  • VEHICLE TRAFFIC - ALL vehicular traffic must be removed from the exhibit area by 9:00 a.m. sharp on festival days and will not be permitted back until after 5:30 p.m. or when notified.  All vendors MUST respect and listen to event staff, including ProEm, while moving vehicles/setting up.
  • FIRE DEPARTMENT – The Fountain Hills Fire Department will inspect each concession for proper cordage and fire extinguishers.  See a copy of the inspection above.
  • TABLES/CHAIRS - Tables and chairs will be provided in a couple locations for our attendees.  These will be for everyone's use and will have attendants to keep them clean. 

 

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE RULES AND REGULATIONS MADE BY THE CONCESSION COMMITTEE MAY RESULT IN NOT BEING ALLOWED IN FUTURE SHOWS

 

Liability Disclaimer:

The following Liability Disclaimer is required for applicants to accept prior to applying.

Applicants, Exhibitors, Vendors and Artists must comply with all Festival, municipal and state rules, regulations and policies. It is the artists’ responsibility to familiarize themselves with any applicable rules, laws, or regulations. Any noncompliance will cause elimination and the artist may be immediately removed from the Festival with no refund of fees or compensation for expenditures. Noncompliant artists may also be barred from acceptance to future Fountain Festival events. The Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts, in their sole discretion, may reserve the right to refuse participation by any applicant, entertainer, food vendor of any other such participant for any reason. The Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce is not liable for refunds or any other liabilities whatsoever for applicant's failure to obey the rules and regulations or due to the unstable condition of the area in which the Festival is produced, caused by, but not limited to, weather, fire or other calamity, any act of nature, public enemy, strikes, statutes, ordinances of any legal authority or any other cause beyond the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce control. By engaging in participation, all applicants/artists release and hold harmless the Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts, Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, Town of Fountain Hills, Maricopa County, the State of Arizona, and all event sponsors from any and all liability, as outlined in the rules and regulations.
