Our Team

1

Betsy LaVoie | President & CEO

Betsy@fhchamber.com

A proud Fountain Hills resident since 1978, I’ve had the privilege of watching our town grow from a quiet community of 900 into the vibrant and dynamic place it is today. My journey here—from childhood to parenthood, and from business owner to Chamber President—has given me a deep-rooted understanding of what makes Fountain Hills truly special.

With a diverse professional background and years of hands-on business experience, I understand the unique challenges local business owners face, especially in a town shaped by its small population and seasonal shifts brought on by our snowbird residents.

Since stepping into the role of President and CEO of the Chamber in 2019, I’ve been proud to champion the businesses, nonprofits, and organizations that drive our local economy. I’m also a dedicated mom to two children in the Fountain Hills Unified School District, which fuels my commitment to creating a thriving, connected community for generations to come.

My passion for this town its people, its potential, and its future guides everything I do at the Chamber.

"Building the fastest-growing Chamber of Commerce in Arizona and serving both the business and nonprofit sectors has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my life. It’s a privilege to help create momentum and relevance for our community—and to be part of something that ensures Fountain Hills continues to flourish for years to come."

Mary Davisson | Events Coordinator

Mary@fhchamber.com

Mary Davisson is a proud Fountain Hills native whose deep family roots have shaped her love for the community. Raised in a family immersed in art, theater, and civic leadership since the 1970's, Mary developed a strong appreciation for the town’s unique charm and close-knit spirit at a young age. After graduating from Fountain Hills High School in 2008, she earned her degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University and spent over a decade building a successful career in event planning; creating memorable experiences at conference centers, boutique resorts, and wedding venues.

Now in her role with the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, Mary brings her hometown pride and professional expertise together to support local businesses, strengthen community connections, and host events that celebrate everything Fountain Hills has to offer. Outside of work, she enjoys life with her wife Angela and their two sweet pups, never misses an opportunity to host loved ones in their home, and dreaming up the next home project! Whether she's organizing a community celebration or brainstorming new ways to enhance local engagement, Mary’s heart is always with Fountain Hills—and she’s excited to help shape its future.

"Outside of the amazing office culture, I love creating events for our members that spark joy and strengthen our sense of community. It’s so important to come together, show kindness and support one another—and that’s exactly what the Chamber encourages."

Shelley Schlossberg | Executive Assistant to CEO

Shelley@fhchamber.com

Shelley Schlossberg made the big move to sunny Arizona in July 2014, trading the coastal charm of Naples, Florida for desert beauty and mountain views. A proud graduate of The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and dove into a successful career in Human Resources.

Over the years, Shelley’s HR journey has taken her from a hospital to corporate boardrooms and even into the fast-paced world of air ambulance services. She’s worn many hats, from handling employee relations and benefits to managing HR systems and policies, always with a focus on people, purpose, and performance.

In September 2024, Shelley brought her wealth of experience and contagious enthusiasm to the Chamber team. As Deputy Chief to the CEO, she keeps our wheels turning smoothly by overseeing records, finance and accounting functions, lending a hand with events, and making sure daily operations run like a well-oiled machine.

But Shelley’s greatest adventure? Life at home with her husband, Scott, and their amazing 14-year-old triplets (yes, triplets!). When she’s not keeping things organized at work, she’s likely cheering from the sidelines at her kids’ events, exploring a hiking trail, planning the next travel adventure, or enjoying laughs with family and friends.

"What I enjoy most about working at the Chamber is the relationships. In a short time, I’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly remarkable people. It’s an incredibly dynamic team — collaborative, driven and genuinely supportive. Being part of a group that uplifts one another and works toward a shared mission makes the work not only meaningful, but deeply rewarding"
