Arizona tax credit update

FOUNTAIN  HILLS, AZ–A small but mighty group of local business owners have joined the FH Chamber Elite leads group to refer business to each other.

Dan Kuchan, CPA, spoke today about Arizona Tax Credits and shared some important information regarding working poor, foster care, public and private school tax credits.

The Public School Tax credit has been very well marketed by school districts in Arizona so it’s likely you’re familiar with Form 322 if you participate in this each year. However, recently Governor Ducey signed a new bill allowing the deadline to be extended from December 31 to April 15 of the following year. Single filers can give up to $200 and married up to $400 per year.

For private schools there is a similar credit using Form 323 allowing a married couple to donate up to $2106 each year.

The Working Poor Credit allows single and married couples to file $200 and $400 respectively for contributions to organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. This donation does need to be completed by December 31.

Support a Foster Care agency in Arizona by contributing $400 or up to $800 for single and married respectively by using Form 321 and donating by December 31.
