What Is the Heart Grant Opportunity?
This grant is available to artists who have been juried into the Fountain Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts with successful application completed and who are new to the Fountain Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts (1st or 2nd show). This artist would be an emerging artist embarking on entrepreneurial aspirations as an artist within the past 24 months.
What is the Award Amount?
Ten grants of $1,000 each will be awarded during a single annual application cycle. Recipients may choose to use their grant for either the Fall or Spring Fountain Festival of Fine Arts & Crafts. Only one application may be submitted per artist per festival cycle.
The award funds breakdown include:
- $500 10x10 booth fee.
- $225 Artist Membership annual fee for marketing and priority placement in festival.
- $275 for incidentals including electricity and/or canopy rental (if needed).
What are the Eligible Expenses?
Grant funds must be used for the following:
- $500 10 x 10 booth space at the Fountain Festival of Fine Arts and Crafts.
- $225 Artist Annual Membership for marketing and priority placement.
In addition, grant funds may be used for the following:
- Staging/tenting purchase or rental including but not limited to canopy, weights, shade backing etc.
- Electricity if needed at the event (additional cost).
- Travel necessary to engage in the opportunity.
Who is the H.E.A.R.T. Grant for?
Funding is awarded to artists juried into festival who have followed the application process as outlined in fhartfairs.com. Funding is awarded to individuals who are artists, no groups or collaborations are allowed. Additionally, according to the Fountain Hills Chamber Foundation, as the Nonprofit entity supplying the H.E.A.R.T. Grant.
Recipients of H.E.A.R.T. Grant funding are further instructed to “take into consideration general standards of decency and respect for the diverse beliefs and values of the American public” with funded programs.
