Pro & Anti Marijuana Campaigns Speak at Chamber

Fountain Hills, AZ–The Fountain Hills Chamber’s Public Policy Committee is featuring a discussion about the potential impact of legalizing marijuana in Arizona.

Arizona Marijuana Legalization Initiative may appear on the November 8, 2016 ballot in Arizona as an initiated state statute. The measure, upon voter approval, would legalize the possession and consumption of marijuana by persons who are 21 years of age or older. If it does become legal then you could easily check out something like this website here: https://firethc.net/ (but obviously only when it becomes legal).

Legalizing marijuana in Arizona may have significant complications for businesses including zero tolerance policies, workers compensation and impairment while on the job.

The Fountain Hills Chamber will be hearing from leaders from the Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol Campaign (pro-legalization) and Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy (anti-legalization)

Topic: Potential impact of legalized marijuana on Employers

Presenters: JP Holyoak, Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol Campaign

Jo McGuire, Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy

Seth  Leibsohn, Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy

In January 2015, Rep. Mark Cardenas (D-19) introduced a proposal to legalize recreational marijuana. He argued that voters will pass an initiative in 2016 unless the Arizona Legislature first approves recreational marijuana. So if recreational marijuana does become legal at some point then it might be a good idea for you to check out something like this dopeboo online headshop
(if you are interested in marijuana, but obviously only when it is legal).

The Public Policy Committee meeting is September 24 at the Fountain Hills Community Center. Attendees are asked to register online at www.FHchamber.com or call the Chamber at 480-837-1654.
