American Cancer Society Launches 24/7 Hotline
Did you know that the American Cancer Society has a 24/7 hotline that is answered by a real person 365 days of the year? This hotline can help answer medical questions, offer support, and help you find resources in your community. Did you know that the American Cancer Society helps patients get to their cancer treatment free of charge via their Road to Recovery Program? In 2014, American Cancer Society volunteers were able to offer over 2,200 rides to cancer treatments in the state of Arizona.
You can also help the American Cancer Society by getting involved with Relay for Life!
Relay For Life of Fountain Hills is a 12 hour community based event that raises funds for the American Cancer Society. With these funds the American Cancer Society is able to fund all types of cancer research and offer free programs and services to community members. So far the 2016 Fountain Hills Relay For Life has raised over $40,000! We need YOUR help to ensure that 2017 is the most successful yet!
We have several different opportunities for involvement. We need volunteers to help plan the 2017 Relay For Life of Fountain Hills. The Event Leadership Team members help plan and promote the event. They ensure everything is organized, from recruiting and motivating teams and sponsors to planning-day-of event ceremonies and activities!
You can start a team, volunteer the day of, sponsor the event, or help with additional American Cancer Society Programs and Services. If you’re interested in learning more please contact Jane Hahn at [email protected] or 602.586.7402.
