Monday Member Spotlight: Spooner & Shaft Physical Therapy
For the first Member Monday Spotlight of September, we want to highlight a new staff member at Spooner & Shaft Physical Therapy!
This Chamber member business recently brought Rachel Reimann on to their team. Rachel is the new athletic trainer, employed by Spooner and Shaft Physical Therapy and Fountain Hills High School. She will work with physical therapists at Spooner and Shaft Physical Therapy, a team physician, coaches, athletes, and their parents to strengthen a healthy community. She values patient-centered care, and it is her goal to keep student athletes and coaches safe, healthy, and active in their sport.
Rachel is from Mount Vernon, Iowa, a town of about 5,000 people. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School. Rachel was active in just about everything growing up: volleyball, tennis, cheerleading, Girl Scouts, and theater. She intended to go to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa for a nursing degree, but ended up getting my BA in Athletic Training and a minor in Health. As an athletic training student, Rachel spent a lot of time with athletes, working on the field and off the field to make them better.
Now she is a first year Athletic Training student at AT Still University in Mesa, in hopes of receiving her master’s in two years.
Rachel’s personal interests include watching movies and reading for leisure. She also enjoys sports, which is good considering she will attend a lot of sporting events in her lifetime. Rachel is excited to live in the Phoenix area where there is access to so many athletic events. She says she can hopefully get some hiking in when she isn’t working or studying. Unfortunately, she couldn’t bring her family dog with her to Arizona, but hiking sounds fun nonetheless.
Again, I am very excited to start my new adventure with Spooner and Shaft Physical Therapy and the Fountain Hills Falcons! Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. It is my goal to keep the health in motion!
Welcome to Fountain Hills, Rachel!
