In spite of a national pandemic and a museum shutdown, the River of Time Museum’s Holiday Mart 2020 was a success grossing over $8,000! This annual event is truly a volunteer run fundraiser.
Kudos to Jane and Dave Wingert who coordinated the entire effort from mid-summer donation pickups to pricing countless treasures. These two worked tirelessly all year and non-stop during the saleto ensure the museum realized this most important source of revenue.
Volunteer Coordinator, Mary Endorf and her merry band of volunteers staffed the store and made
sure that the shelves were stocked and guests found what they needed. COVID presented additional challenges, but volunteers were diligent in keeping surfaces clean and shoppers masked.
Since the museum was closed and undergoing renovation, an alternative site was contracted at a generous discount thanks to the support of Fountain Hills Chamber member Whitestone REIT, owner and operator of Fountain Hills Plaza, the Fountain Hills community home of Basha’s and Ace Hardware.
And beginning January 12th the Holiday Mart 2021 donation collection is underway. As you take down your holiday decorations and find that you’d rather not pack it for storage, the Wingerts will again collect donations for Holiday Mart 2021!
Indoor and outdoor decor, tableware, linens, centerpieces, trees, and wreaths are just some of the items needed. Beginning January 12th,
call 480.837.2612 or email director@rotmuseum.org to make arrangements to have your items picked up.
