Fountain Hills Women's Club
Founded in January 1974, the Fountain Hills Women’s Club is one of our community’s very first volunteer organizations! Its fascinating 51-year history is entwined with the history of Fountain Hills itself, hosting some of the town’s first social events and fundraisers, helping establish door-to-door mail delivery for residents, providing generous funding to build the FH Community Center, presenting monthly speakers, and much more.
The FHWC has also generously supported the Fountain Hills Library Association, Senior Center, River of Time Museum, Botanical Garden, Extended Hands Food Bank, Community Chorus, High School Band, Theatre, and many other efforts. It is dedicated to providing scholarships for women living or working in Fountain Hills to help continue their education and careers, plus two scholarships for graduating high school seniors, all funded through the club’s outstanding annual springtime luncheon. Over the past 30 years, the FHWC has proudly given more than $348,000 in scholarships to 179 recipients, with more to be awarded this May!

Golden Eagle Education Foundation
Established in 1992, Golden Eagle Education Foundation (GEEF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) partnership of parents, students, business members and other supportive residents committed to enhancing the education of students from the Fountain Hills, Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and Verde River communities through its four signature programs: Mentoring, Classroom Projects, Scholarships and Appreciation. We help advance local community students by providing support, offering enriched learning experiences, and reducing financial barriers.
Our schools need the community help to continue to do the work needed to prepare the generations to come. The work Jenna does with the foundation helps set our students up for success with foundational skills, especially those who are most vulnerable. I cannot think of a more necessary function of a nonprofit.
Craig Rudolphy
I moved to Fountain Hills in 2001 having just married DeDe Rudolphy. After retiring, I held a variety of positions with non-profit organizations, as well as being the Town’s Finance Director for 6+ years. My volunteer positions have been with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, The Be Kind People Project, my local church, and numerous Town events. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Eagle Mountain and the Town’s Community Services Advisory Commission. In addition, I have been working with the Fountain Hills Unified School District for the last one and ½ years assisting the Finance team and clearing up past issues.
Craig has volunteered as acting Director of Finance for FHUSD for about a year and a half. As a retired Director of Finance for the town of Fountain Hills, and someone who believes in generously giving back to his community, he saw a need to help our struggling finance department to make corrections so that we successfully pass annual audits, but also to maximize our spending transparency within our community. He has been instrumental in creating and implementing policies and procedures and has brought our finance team to a new level of knowledge and ability to perform their tasks. We wouldn't have had the progress and growth in recent years without him.

"Kim and Steve Stovall have the biggest heart when it comes to helping out our community. They devote most Saturday mornings at the local FH Extended Hands Food Bank where they volunteer their time to helping out local families in need. They are always the first to step up when friends or local businesses need an extra hand. This is why I am nominating the wonderful couple, Kim and Steve Stoval for "Community Volunteer of the Year".

Dori Writtig
Dori has been a resident of Fountain Hills and part of its real estate industry since 1985. A company owner since 2001, she developed a passion for selling the benefits of this unique community. In her personal life, she is passionate about supporting various nonprofit organizations that are the fabric of the community. She has served as president of the Sunset Kiwanis and iLoveFountainHills.org; served Noon Rotary as secretary and is the chair of the Hall of Fame Committee. In 2016 she founded the Fountain Hills Leadership Academy and is the current president of the Fountain Hills Community Foundation, an organization known for supporting nonprofits throughout the community.

Middle School is such an exciting time! I began my Middle School teaching career in 2008, in Tucson, Az, and never looked back. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Western Governor's University. We moved to Fountain Hills in 2020, where I teach Middle Grades Language Arts at FHMS; this is my third year. I am a wife and mother of 4 adult children, and we have one little dog and one little cat. I am a sports fan who collects key chains. The Team at the Fountain Hills Fire Department
Fountain Hills Fire Department (FHFD) has deep roots in Fountain Hills. The origins go back to the early days when McCulloch hire Rural Metro Fire Department (RM) to provide security, and put out any fires, around the Fountain and the new construction sites. There have been many changes over the years and on 1/1/24 FHFD became a municipal fire department completely managed by the Town. One thing that has never changed has been the dedication of the men and women who have been a part of FHFD, regardless of it being privately owned or a Town run department, is the dedication they have to provide the best service to our residents, businesses, and visitors. We are honored to be nominated Chamber Gala Award.
