Fountain Hills Chamber chooses hometown CEO after nationwide search

(Fountain Hills, Ariz.) – After a thorough nationwide search, the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce board announced that Member Relations Manager Betsy LaVoie will serve as Executive Director.
“I am looking forward to serving and leading the Fountain Hills Chamber in this new capacity,” said LaVoie. “This is my dream job”.

She added that she wants to continue on the trajectory set by previous CEO Scott Soldat-Valenzuela. “The business community of Fountain Hills is a powerful force and I want to help make this Chamber shine,” she said.
La Voie, a Fountain Hills native, has worked as CEO of EO2 Wellness Spa and Oxygen Bar and in residential and commercial real estate for fifteen years.

LeeAnn Torkelson, Chairman of the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, said, “While this search has taken many twists and turns, we couldn’t be more excited to have our most qualified person be a Fountain Hills resident,” she said.

The Chamber recently announced the hiring of another candidate whose employment contract was cancelled due to delays in the start date.
