Dr. J serves as the superintendent of Fountain Hills Unified School District. Over the past two years, he has worked with the students, staff, parents, and community to reimagine our schools. The new McDowell Mountain Elementary, A School of Discovery, provides students with an innovative campus focused on immersive learning and the value of interactive play. Fountain Hills Middle School opened its new Innovate 21 (i21) program for honors and gifted students. This multidisciplinary approach prepares students for the high school's AP Capstone program, culminating with a College Board diploma. Earning an "A" letter grade from the Arizona Department of Education and a "National" & "Best" designation from US News & World Report for the fifth straight year, Fountain Hills High School regained its status as one of the best high schools in the state.

Dr. J attended Northern Arizona University, earning his Bachelor's Degree in History with a focus on Secondary Education and a Minor in Biology. Building upon this foundation, he pursued his Master's Degree in Leadership and School Administration at Arizona State University. Driven by a passion for leadership, he furthered his academic pursuits by obtaining his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
